hi,

my T40 works like a charm with USB2 devices:

Harddisk on USB2 around 20MB/s

USB-Stick on USB2 around 6MB/s

The modules I need:
uhci_hcd 31760 0=20
ehci_hcd 32520 0=20
usb_storage 67904 0=20
usbhid 34368 0
sg 35552 0=20
sr_mod 16804 0=20
sd_mod 16336 0=20
usb_storage 67904 0
scsi_mod 92296 4 usb_storage,sg,sr_mod,sd_mod

Worked since linux 2.6.5 as far as I can remeber.

I'm running 2.6.11 now, so you kernel should work too, maybe it's the
patch(-ac1) you use, try to check the Changelog for changes in USB for
your patch(-ac1).

Building an operation system without source code,
is like buying a self assemble space shuttle without
instructions.
