Make sure that the kernel option serial_8250 is set and have a look at the
/etc/ppp/options file. For kppp deactivate line 35 with "auth" with a "#"
because without the "#" you will never set up a working ppp-connection.

For full functionality of the driver you need a "license key for linuxant
modem driver" which you can get at www.linuxant.com. I also have heard that
in google groups someone provides this key but I cannot imagine that there
is anybody willing to use an illegal key.
