True - but then you might want to add in HDD in case your hard disk
melts, battery in case the battery gets too hot (not good for Lithium
Ion), and PCI in case um... some metal melts.  Which would make the
metrics and settings terrifying!  As Paul said, I guess the hope is
that it all scales for most normal applications - but I can imagine
situations where the disk might do a lot of I/O and the cpu stay low.

Really asking because IBM do chose to use GPU temperature - is there
any reason to think it might be the best median measure?  I can't
think why...
