Hello Alejandro,

did you use 2.6.12.4 with ACPI patches 2005-07-28? Then this is the 
reason. See my posting to this list about that. Without latest ACPI 
patches IBM ACPI as contained in 2.6.12.4 works. I filed a kernel bug 
report about that:
