Hi,

Just to share my small experience. I just installed Mandrake 9.2 Linux on my
new (old :-)) IBM T600X. It is a 500Mhz model with 192 Mb RAM. Mandrake
automatically recognized and configured everything on a flay. The only
unsupported hardware was built in Win modem but as I know it just need
additional driver downloadable from IBM site. For first time I did not have
any problems even with my PCMCI card. I am really happy with results compared
with the old TP760XL where I had to twikle almost everything.

Perhaps T600X will do the job for you too.

Regards, Harry Popov
