Hello > /sbin/idectl-ibm-acpi 1 off idectl does not work for me and i can't figure out why... i found a different way: the hotswap-package (google always returns the good stuff after you post on a maillist). It doesn't enable DMA however. But i don't care about DMA, since batteries do not really need it... Thanks for the quick reply.
