Yes, looks like some udev breakage in udev-058-1.0.FC4.1.rpm + 2.6.15-rc6.

I hacked the latest Fedora devel udev (udev-077-2.src.rpm) to compile
on FC4, and it does create those device files, but soon after crashes
my box... This stuff is highly distro-specific, so I guess I'll just
have to wait for FC5.
