Who has 6800mAh? My 9-cell has only 6,6Ah printed on it...

Depending on your usage and powersaving setup, this might be normal.

I haven't done many full-cycle experiments with my similar hardware
(T42p, 9cell), but I can say, I should get some 3,5h with APM and
probably almost 4,5h with ACPI (using C3). Normal usage, active
speedstep, no laptop mode, small display brightness.

Using a little bit more tweaking (smallest brightness, active laptop
mode, very little usage), I *probably* (untested) might get near the 5
hours, which is also the IBM spec. I think, there's nothing more to
expect from this high-end hardware. Too fast CPU, too fast GPU, too big
a screen, constantly running fan... there go your precious ions. ;-)
