Basically, what I want to know, is, does waproamd have my wireless
working all the time, checking if there are any networks. I ask this
because in my syslogs, there are entries about it doing so. I dont want
my wireless card on all the time because of power issues, only when I go
somewhere where there is a network. I thought waproamd only worked when
your wireless is on and it checks for known networks that it is
configured for. That is all I want it to do, not have my wireless on all
the time. Before I installed it, my ath0 modules would get loaded at
boot but the interface wouldnt come up untill I did ifconfig ath0 up.
Once I installed waproamd if I check ifconfig, then my wireless is up.
So it appears that waproamd has my card on all the time checking for
networks.
