[ltp] ACPI problem (bis)

Hi all!
Same happens to me on my T42... killed acpid and then I could cat it... 
but I have some other problem...
I don't see any event but the Fn-F4 one and only once and then for 10 
seconds nothing else...
Any ideas?
Do I need a bios update? I did once such an update on my ol' R32 and it 
kind of died.... so I would do this only as a last resort.
But klaptop_acpi_helper works perfectly....
