[ltp] 600E sound broken by new Fedora kernel (with solution!)

I upgraded from the 2.6.5-1.358 to the 2.6.9-1.11_FC2
Fedora Core 2 kernels. On the SECOND boot with the
new kernel, the cs4232 module would not load ("device
not found"). Hmm. After booting the old kernel, this
module still would not load (prior to the upgrade
sound worked fine with the old kernel). HHMMMMM.
After reinitializing the computer through its BIOS
setup GUI (accessed by pressing F1 during boot), the
same pattern repeated, i.e., the new kernel supported
sound after the first boot, but not after the second,
etc. The real fix was to disable the BIOS "Quickboot"
function (also through the BIOS setup GUI). Now sound
works boot after boot with the new kernel. How's that
for a puzzler!
