Michele,
VERY INTERESTING ....

I do not see that message in kern.log and more puzzling the only
references to radeonfb in my logs are the following from various days ago:

Jan 14 09:31:31 localhost kernel: radeonfb: suspending to state: 3...
Jan 14 09:31:32 localhost kernel: radeonfb: resumed !
Jan 14 11:15:37 localhost kernel: radeonfb: suspending to state: 3...
Jan 14 11:15:38 localhost kernel: radeonfb: resumed !
Jan 14 15:02:32 localhost kernel: radeonfb: suspending to state: 3...
Jan 14 15:02:33 localhost kernel: radeonfb: resumed !
Jan 14 15:50:53 localhost kernel: radeonfb: suspending to state: 3...
Jan 14 15:50:54 localhost kernel: radeonfb: resumed !

Now a few observations:

1) When I suspend now I do not see and radeonfb messages in kern.log
2) Even though I cannot remember exactly what I was doing I am a little
suspicious of all those 1 second suspends !!!

So what next ?

I believe I will download again the fresh kernel 2.6.10 from kernel.org
and try applying the patch cleanly.

I also hope that the logging will resume.
