[ltp] ndiswrapper and swsusp [RESOLVED]

Ok - I got this to work by appending acpi=noirq in my lilo 
configuration.  I found this on ndiswrapper's support page (it didn't 
mention anything about swsusp, but did say that if you were having 
trouble connecting that this might help).  However, they didn't mention 
what this option does.

What are the drawbacks of passing acpi=noirq to your kernel?
