[ltp] Radeon driver and Thinkpad Internal LCD

I have been trying to set up an IBM Thinkpad T43p in a dual head
configuration. The thinkpad sits atop an IBM Port Replicator II and
the VGA port of the replicator goes into an external LCD monitor. I am
using the xorg radeon driver.

The problem is that while on the port replicator, the internal LCD
refuses to come up. It gets illuminated (a very dark shade of gray)
but nothing comes up on it. I have the MergedFB option enabled and
have tried both Clone and RightOf mode but the internal LCD just does
not come up. All's well when the laptop's not on the replicator
though. Is this a known problem with the radeon driver?

The monitor layout option is currently set to "LVDS, AUTO".
