Excactly - I've forgotten this. I'm ignoring this option since I first
used Linux with 32 MB Ram .. far far away from "High Memory" ;)

Never did so. I have got no floppy disk and no windows either. Is there
a possibility to do a update under Linux? I'm interessed, because I have
full 1,5 GB RAM now but I still get these errors from PCMICA:

kernel: cs: pcmcia_socket0: unable to apply power.
