Hi,

I have a T42 and I observe those high temperature pitch. The fans seem
to react too late. Some told this was because TP are not build for big
compilation, but in fact this it was simply missing thermal past on
cooling component. As the sensors are not built into the cpu but into
the cooling component, heating as to dissipate fast enough for the
sensors to detect heating and accelerate fans.

I brought it to a my nearest TP provider, and they fixed it since it's
on warranty (3 days). Now it stabilize near 75 degrees while compiling
big things like glibc. Fans make less noise at this temperature.

Good luck,
