Paul,

Great question. But I have discussed this one with my girlfriend a lot.
She is studing to become an architect and well, she think that the Thinkpad
design is old, ugly, squary, non-esthetic, and well, that the Logo can't be
older.

Regardless of what she says, :-). I love my little mainframe. This baby
is a T42 with the fingerprint reader, 1GB RAM, 2MB Cache, 1.8GHZ, 15.4
screen. I wanted the 14" cause is more square than the T42 but was not in
stock. The awesome things about Thinkpad's is the fact that (I think) no
other manufacturer will have this many features in a single box. Yet they
are more expensive, but all well paid. Better HDs, cooling systems and
weight. My previous Dell burned its own palmrest, it burned me, and burned a
customer from Dells list. (Now, it would be great to enable all the features
in the Thinkpads in Linux :0 )

IBM services are great, the replacements are slow here in Costa Rica,
but, hey. At least I get an RMA with no hassle.

It has been said. Once you go black, you can never go back. And this is the
case with my Thinkpad.

(Paul, why are you asking?)

.Alejandro
