[ltp] no sound with the kernel 2.6.11

Yes I tried it with alsamixer. I also tried to turn off other outputs and
inputs and it was not working also.
I am currently runing a debian unstable with the kernel 2.6.11 of kernel.org
without any patches.  My laptop is a thinkpad T42p and lspci give me the
following informations about my audio card:
0000:00:07.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82C686 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 20)

dmesg gives me the following informations about the intel8x0 (quite the same
things for the 2.6.10 and the 2.6.11 kernel):
intel8x0_measure_ac97_clock: measured 49484 usecs
intel8x0: clocking to 48000
