[ltp] Pre-desktop area

Hello all,

I've been toying around hoping to be able to boot linux by pressing the blue
AccessIBM button, without much success , needless to say. I've installed
Debian on the "unchanged" pre-desktop area, and i now have grub as a
bootloader. The idea
is to install grub in the first sector of the pre-desktop area and boot
linux this way. Any ideas ?
