Hi

i own a second HDD-Adapter for the Ultrabay on my R50p.
I'd like to swap the cdrom-drive and the HDD on the fly like it is
possible under windows.
i have the ibm-acpi--driver reporting me acpi events on opening the
"pull-drive-out-handle" and do like described on the page:

idectl 1 off # this should disable the drive
echo eject > /proc/acpi/ibm/bay # this should turn off power for
~ the drive

then I swich the drives and do
idectl 1 on # this gives me this error message :
HDIO_SCAN_HWIF failed: Input/output error

dito for idectl 1 rescan

and the drive doesnt work.

if i try to mount the device /dev/hdc1 the system locks about 10-20
seconds after pressing enter.

can any1 help me?
