Generally, it isn't even worth the trouble of trying to "mount" a digital camera with gphoto2. Just use a USB reader to mount the storage card. No problem that way. Some of the older digitals and the really cheap low end ones don't take flash cards, and those are the ones that are a problem. Those are also the ones that aren't worth bothering with.
