Have you considered to try swsusp2 (http://www.suspend2.net/)? I used
it on my T23 with kernel 2.6.10 and now with 2.6.11 and my Cardbus WLAN
card works after suspend to disk, even the SSH connections are still
alive if the suspend period wasn't too long.
