[ltp] R51 - when will the fan turn off?

On my R51 I have installed Debian Sarge and ibm-acpi-0.11 which is started
with experimental=1.

Now it happens that the fan at sometime starts - ok so far. But when will he
stop again? I though that this should happen when the temperature of the CPU
is somewhere below 60 and the temperature of the GPU is below 50?

I find:
cat /proc/acpi/ibm/thermal:
temperatures:    39 42 30 45 32 -128 29 -128

and at the same time:
cat /proc/acpi/fan
status:        enabled
speed:        3114
commands:    enable, disable
