Hey all --

Just wondering -- I've received a couple of mails from people running
into what they think is this bug:

    https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6108

(quick summary: "/usr/sbin/laptop-mode" + madwifi + ath0 up + running from
battery + short period of inactivity followed by activity = sudden hang
with the "drive active" light lit.)

Is anyone else seeing this problem? Ubuntu and (as far as I know) Debian
use laptop-mode to spin down the disks when on battery; Ubuntu is planning
to use it by default for laptops in their next release.

(As a connected query -- does anyone know how to get an NMI watchdog
interrupt timer working on a T40 with a 2.6.10 kernel? I can't seem to
get either nmi_watchdog=1 or nmi_watchdog=2 to increment the NMI counter
in /proc/interrupts.)

- --j.
