what patches do I need to solve the power drain problem?

I don't have suspend to disk enabled in kernel, so didn't try Fn+12, but
I am able to do the others except for Fn+F3, WITHOUT loading ibm_acpi,
this is so weird! I am positive that I am using ACPI rather than APM
since I didn't have APM compiled either into the kernel or as modules
