There have been several questions for this on the list during the last
months but no fix posted, so there:

If everything looks fine, all modules loaded and <insert your preferred
audio player here> runs but you dont hear a thing, try this:

1) amixer sset "Headphone Jack Sense" off
2) amixer sset "Line Jack Sense" off
3) alsactl store

The last command may have to be run as root.
