[ltp] T-43p and Port Replicator II

Hey Gang:

I just wanted to get a clear picture of using the Port Replicator II with 
Linux on the T-43p. Since it shows as 'undocked' in /proc/acpi/ibm/:

[xigera ~]$ cat /proc/acpi/ibm/dock
status:         undocked

and I'm using the passthru ethernet, VGA, and power, can I remove the laptop 
from the dock without powering down?

If I 'ifconfig eth0 down' is that enough?

Does anyone have experience they can relate?
