Hello !

I broke my debian system, I'll reinstall a new debian on a new HD,
and keep the old one as a usb disk.

So I must buy a new one for my T42P.

I see an Hitachi 100 Gb - 7200 rpm on french ebay.=20
     Model : HTS721010G9AT00 - Date : Aout 2005=20

It's write Interface DMA/ATA : is it a right disk for my thinkpad ?
   a DMA/ATA disk is a IDE  disk ?
                  or a SATA disk ?

Can I put it in my thinkpad ? without problem ?

My system explains :=20

$ cat /proc/ide/hda/driver           # -> ide-disk version 1.18
$ cat /proc/ide/hda/model            # -> HTS548060M9AT00
$ cat /proc/ide/hda/cache            # -> 7877
$ cat /proc/ide/hda/capacity         # -> 117210240  (for a 60 Gb - 7200 rp=
m)

My lspci is :

0000:00:1f.1=20
  IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801DBM (ICH4-M) IDE Controller (rev 01)

My /var/log/message is :

Must I reinstall windows or not : I don't use it.

But NOW I'll remain 2 linux systems on my laptop !

Thanks a lot !
