Hi Steffen,

I had a similar Problem, and here is how i fixed it.
Installed kernel 2.6.14
Installed ati-drivers 8.19.10

DON'T USE VBETOOL with this, DISABLE ALL VBETOOL LINES IN YOUR
HIBERNATE.CONF
