[ltp] Getting T30. 3 questions

I'm getting a refurbished T30, bought from E-Bay. Are there different models 
within the T30 group with different graphics controllers? All I know is that 
it is a PENTIUM 4 1.8GH 512MB 40GIG & DVD/CDRW 

It has 16MB shared video SDRAM. 
I suppose I'll have to wait till it arrives to find out what that means. :-)

I've installed Gentoo on my home box but never on a laptop. Where is a good 
starting point to learn about Gentoo on a laptop? I don't want to dual boot 
with windows.
I believe it can be tricky. (for me, a relative noob)
