[ltp] Voltage Scaling on X40

Hi,
browsing thinkwiki.org I found some interesting information:

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Pentium_M_undervolting_and_underclocking

It talks about reducing the core voltage at a given processor speed.
Since my X40 is dual boot I played around with the voltages a little
bit and the effect is really substantial. I could reduce the voltage
by nearly 200mV and increase the battery times by ~20%.

Now I want this also in Linux (of course:). Does anybody know if
there is a user space tool to change the voltages? Or as a second best
option, has anyone done a patch like the one in thinkwiki.org for a
X40 (Pentium-M 738, 1.4GHz).

Thanks
Marcus
