I'm looking for a laptop : a thinkpad of corse ! 

This one will be use very few hours by week, about 10 h, 
for doing open-office and firefox. 

Some times ago there was old R50 at about 600 EUR. But today it's too late. 

I find a R50e at 680 EUR.

What do you think about the 2 years waranty at 180 EUR ?

Can I install a debian gnome on the R52 only with a debian boot cd
and an ethernet cable. (before using the wifi)

Can I look at divx and dvd film on the full screen on these two laptops ?
On my T42 I must install an ati driver for this.
And I don't install any modem driver.
