Hi,

can you post the output of
cat /proc/acpi/processor/CPU/power?

I had the same as you on T42p. I could only use the
notbook only 2 hours or so on battery.
I noticed that the C3 and C4 states were never used.
I have to unload the modules uhci_hcd and ehci_hcd
before the CPU can enter C3 or even C4 states. So the battery
life time increased up to 3 hour and more.
