That was the problem... thank you so much I thought I was going insane
with those configurations which actually were correct...

I updated through smart to X.org 7.1-20 from SuSE-Factory, dualhead
works like a charm now... The only problem is that my german keyboard
has no umlauts and no "ALT/ALT-GR" anymore but this might be a problem
with the changed xorg.config-file or the path where kbd is installed...

Oh well, it never gets boring *g*
