I was running Kubuntu Breezy on my T42 recently, and suspend to RAM and to=

disk worked out of the box. Web sites and messages I read about Breezy on=
=20
T42 explicitly said not to do anything - and in fact, it worked.

Quite possibly - I didn't get into all of it, and I believe your hardware i=
s=20
different than mine.

In case it's of help, though, my approach was to google and read the forums=
 to=20
find "the ubuntu way" to do things - it's based on Debian, but it is not=20
Debian.

I had suspend/hibernate, Sun Java JDK, Eclipse, accelerated ATI Radeon=20
drivers, VMware, 2200G wireless.  I didn't try everything, but I was largel=
y=20
satisfied.

I'm using Gentoo again, as I want the hacker level controls so I can instal=
l=20
some odd software, and get the putitave performance gains possible.

But that "ubuntu way" approach appeared to make a difference - it's not=20
Debian.

Bret
