[ltp] X60s: Heat, power management, battery

Now that I have finally completed the setup of Linux on my new X60s, I 
have noticed a few rather disturbing things:

- The hard disk gets incredibly hot under Linux, but remains totally cool 
under Windows

- I rarely hear the fan kick in when in Linux

- Battery life is only about 4 hours under Linux, but upto 7 hours in 
Windows.

Clearly, power management is an issue here - at least under FC5.

Any recommendations?
