[ltp] X60s: Heat, power management, battery

OK, 24 hours later:

Hard disk is cool as a cucumber, battery life still not at windows levels, 
but up to about 5.5 hours.

cpufreqd didn't cut mustard, so back to cpuspeed for now. Laptopmode seems 
to be doing its job.

Frantic bus activity happens only when in docking station - I guess having 
7 USB2 ports, each with something plugged into it, is likely to cause 
that. :)

The R&D continues....
