How did you install the SuSE?

I know that sounds weird but what I am asking is did you have the win 
modem operational? Did you have a menu selection for wireless? Did you 
have UV operational? What about plain DSL? Did you do the installation 
with the computer connected to an eathernet signal or did you do the 
installation with the computer not connected to DSL?And most important 
was this SuSE 10.1 or some previous version?
