Which version of ipw2200 do you have? What does it say:
dmesg|grep ipw2200
what does it say:
cat /sys/module/ipw2200/parameters/hwcrypto
If it says 1, do
turn it to 0 might help. In recent version of ipw it was by default 0,=20
though.
