I've discovered a new glitch and I'm not sure when or how this appeared
since I usually leave my R32 on.

It won't boot if I have AC plugged in.

Specifically, it won't begin LILO if I have AC plugged in, and I have to
leave it unplugged for a while during boot or there's a kernel panic.

I've done a search for relevant terms, tried appending pci=noacpi,
tinkered with the bios. No luck.

The first few lines out of /var/log/messages are

Jul 22 20:32:52 debian kernel: ACPI: PM-Timer IO Port: 0x1008
Jul 22 20:32:52 debian kernel: Allocating PCI resources starting at
40000000 (gap: 30000000:cf800000)
Jul 22 20:32:52 debian kernel: Built 1 zonelists
Jul 22 20:32:52 debian kernel: Kernel command line: auto BOOT_IMAGE=Linux
ro root=301 i8042.nomux=1
Jul 22 20:32:52 debian kernel: Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- you can
enable it with "lapic"

if that helps.

Any advice?

Thanks!
