[ltp] Dual monitors on x60s

Hi,

I'm running opensuse 10.1 on my x60s.

When I connect an external monitor I get a mirrored display.
Is it possible to turn off the LCD, and then only use the external 
monitor in a higher resolution than the LCD's native 1024x768?
