Between the day I got my T60p and today, I've experienced a number of
crashes, some regular, some not so much.  They've all had a
non-hardware reason -- ATI drivers, kernel bugs, etc.  Most were
related to power saving or starting/stopping various devices.

Remember that FC5 came out when the T60 platform was very very new.
You may well have better luck with any distro with a more recent
kernel and so on.
