Hello,

this is slightly OT because it is OS independent:

I own an IBM R51 with 30 Gbyte HDD on which I have dual boot
OpenSuSE/XP.
My warranty is going to extinguish in two months and I was considering
upgrading my HDD a little. I would like to have at least 80 GByte in
order to work better with the two OSes.

I was looking at the original IBM upgrading part (IBM 09N4273 ) but
found prices to be horribly high here in Europe (Italy, Germany).
I never removed my HDD drive before, but from the "Access IBM" flash
movie I saw that the HDD has some special (?) black connector at one
end. What's that?
Can I use any 80 GB 2.5" IDE/EIDE drive with 5400 RPM or should I better
stick to IBM "original part"?

Cheers
Pasquale
