woah.. well that worked.. acpi-cpufreq, NOT speedstep-ich.. says so
right there in the thinkwiki... but do i believe it? do i read??

thanks people.. SpeedStep v2.1 functionality restored, it's all about
attention to deeetail.. ^_^

...funny though.. on the R31, the speedstep-ich module did allow
ondemand & conservative.
