The 2.4 firmware was known to be flawed.  The latest firmware is 3.0,
using the 1.1.1 drivers.  Pretty much no reason not to go to these, as
each release significantly improves stability.

I would definitely go to 1.1.1 over 1.1.0.  There were known problems
with 1.1.0.
