Hi,

I have the following hard drive in a T60, with AHCI disabled,
compatibility only,:

Vendor and Model: FUJITSU MHV2060B
Firmware: 0084

and i also get very slow (i think) performance:

$ sudo hdparm -Tt /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads:   4840 MB in  2.00 seconds = 2421.93 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads:  102 MB in  3.06 seconds =  33.37 MB/sec

What do you guys think ? Any way of speeding this up ?

$ sudo hdparm /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
 IO_support   =  0 (default 16-bit)
 readonly     =  0 (off)
 readahead    = 256 (on)
 geometry     = 7296/255/63, sectors = 117210240, start = 0

Bye,
