Hi,

just upgraded to Ubuntu Edgy. Nearly everything works fine out of the box with
the standard 2.6.17 Ubuntu kernel:

* WLAN (ipw3945)
* S3 (Suspend to RAM)
* X11 in 1920x1200 mode (after doing: "apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx" and
modifying xorg.conf to use fglrx)

Some things I need some help with:
1) The SD card reader seems to work partially. When inserting a SD card, dmesg
shows this:
[17220458.664000] tifm_7xx1: sd card detected in socket 1
But there is no device under /dev for mounting the card. Any hints?
2) I cannot apply the tp_smapi and queuefreeze patch from Andrew's apt
repository. After apt-getting the two kernel-patch packages from Andrew's
repository, I tried to run
make-kpkg --added-patches=tpsmapi,queuefreeze kernel_image
but patching fails. Are there any patches out there working for Ubuntu Edgy?

Another short note: I use luks encryption for /home. Edgy has some trouble for
reading the passphare on the console, see
https://launchpad.net/products/upstart/+bug/62751.

Regards,
Stefan
