[ltp] X60s and other CoreDuos / Battery LIfe - Kernel/CPU freq scaling issue?

Ari,
Were your tests done with the computer mostly idle? It is possible
that there is no noticable power consumption difference between the
processor at 1 GHz and 1.66 GHz because the processor is going into a
sleep state most of the time.

On my x60s (L2400),  bunzipping a  50 MB file takes  26.6 seconds
using the performance governor and 41.6 seconds using powersave.  When
using the performance governor power consumption is about 4 W higher
while zipping.
