The installation program of any Linux distribution is going to let
you repartition the hard drive.  And all of the installers that I've
seen will notice the "hidden" partition and let you wipe it out.  So
just run your installer, and when you get to the partitioning stage,
delete the existing partitions and create new ones in their place.
