Thanks very much for that.
I'll try it when I get the T23 back from my grand-daughter, its owner.

Actually, I did get sound working - or sort of working - on the T23.
When I went to the Sound module in the KDE Control Centre,
I could hear the test sound - it was rather faint, but quite audible.
But when I went back to config-system-soundcard
there was still no test sound.
Strange.
